Technical tips and tricks for when you can't get the PaySauce app to load

App won't load on Android phone

If your PaySauce app won't load on your Android phone, you may need to clear the cache. You can search for instructions on how to clear the cache for your specific phone model online if you need, however these instructions work for most users:

  1. Tap and hold on the PaySauce app icon.

  2. Choose App info/settings.

  3. Choose Storage.

  4. Clear data and cache.

Alternatively you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Go to Storage.

  3. Go to Applications/Apps/other apps (depending on the model of your phone as to what this area is called).

  4. Go to the PaySauce app.

  5. It should have details on the User data and Cache size.

  6. Clear the Data and the Cache.


Try open the PaySauce app again. If you continue to have trouble, contact PaySauce support.

Ensure that your iOS is up to date for your phone model

iOS compatibility directly impacts your ability to use the latest apps on your iPhone. Most new apps and app updates (including the PaySauce app) require recent versions of iOS to ensure they work properly and provide the latest features and security enhancements.

If your iPhone supports the newest iOS version you’ll have access to the widest range of current apps and features. If your device is too old to update to the latest iOS, you may find that some apps will not install, or you’ll only be able to use older versions with limited functionality.

Developers have to set minimum iOS requirements for their apps, and while Apple allows you to download the latest compatible version for your device, you won’t get new features or updates if your iOS is outdated.

This list, provided by Apple, will help you check iOS compatibility with your phone model.

App unavailable in region

The PaySauce app is currently only available to NZ users.

If you have regional settings for a country other than New Zealand, you will receive an error message explaining the app is not available in your region. Your region must be set to New Zealand to use the PaySauce app.

To change your region:

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap your name, then tap Media & Purchases.

  3. Tap View Account.

  4. Tap Country/Region.

  5. Tap Change Country or Region.

  6. Tap your new country or region, then review the Terms & Conditions.

Then retry downloading the PaySauce employee phone app.​

⚠️ Please note that if you have an iPhone and have credit in your overseas account, you will lose this once you set up your NZ Apple ID.

iPhone users will only be able to change the region once every 90 days.

Changing the region for Google Play Store is only available every 12 months.
