This article explains how to update the bank account that PaySauce draws wages from to pay your employees. The steps you need to follow depend on how your bank account is currently connected - the payment type you are using to make your payments.
All instructions are for PaySauce on the web (on your computer) as you won't be able to complete these steps in the app.
Direct banking (ANZ, BNZ, ASB, Westpac)
If you use direct banking with ANZ, BNZ, ASB, or Westpac, you'll need to complete a new bank authority form.
Download the bank authority form for your bank.
Complete the form with your new bank account details.
Email the completed form to [email protected].
Bank authority approvals take up to 3 business days. Make sure you submit your form well before your next pay run to avoid any delays.

Akahu
If you're connected via Akahu, you'll need to disconnect your current integration and reconnect with your new bank account.
Go to your company settings (click your company name in the top left corner of your screen), then select the 'Settings' tab.
Select Integrations.
Find Akahu and click the cross in the green box to disconnect.
Once disconnected, follow the prompts to reconnect with your new bank account.
Tip: If your new account is with ANZ, BNZ, ASB, or Westpac, we recommend using direct banking instead for a more reliable connection.
ASB API (Fastnet Classic)
If you're an ASB customer using a Fastnet Classic account with the ASB API integration, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect.
Go to your company settings (click your company name in the top left corner of your screen), then select the 'Settings' tab.
Select Integrations.
Find ASB and click the cross in the green box to disconnect.
Follow the prompts to reconnect with your new ASB Fastnet Classic account.
Direct debit (2 day holding) payment
If you use the direct debit payment method, simply contact our support team with your new bank account number and we'll update it for you straight away.
Email us at [email protected] with your company name and new bank account details.
Bureau users
Bureau users can only update bank accounts for customers using the direct debit (2 day holding) payment method.
Go to the customer's Accounts tab.
Select Bank.
Update the bank account number and save.
Note: If the customer uses Akahu, ASB API, or direct banking, they will need to follow the relevant steps above to update their bank account themselves.
