What is a PAYE Intermediary?

PAYE Intermediary acts on behalf of the Employer, and files the required information to IRD each time the pay is closed. The PAYE Intermediary also makes the payments on behalf of the employer for PAYE and related items (KiwiSaver, student loan deductions, child support, etc).

If IRD have any questions about the PAYE payments the we (as the Intermediary) will answer them or undertake any necessary adjustments (as long as we were acting as Intermediary at the time in question).

How we manage your IRD payments

PaySauce collects the PAYE amount from your account when each pay is closed. PaySauce completes the payday filing with the IRD and then makes a payment to IRD on the due date. As a PAYE Intermediary, the funds cannot be used for any other purpose. The payments are held in a specially managed trust account which can only be used for the purposes of holding and paying PAYE.

As the PAYE Intermediary, PaySauce is responsible for the IRD payments being paid on time and that can only happen we have the payment in our trust account. As a PAYE Intermediary, Right Remuneration Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of PaySauce) must comply with the obligations set out for PAYE intermediaries in the Income Tax Act 2007.

The safety of your payments is our highest priority

As a PAYE Intermediary, we have very strict regulations and requirements that we must comply with as we manage your PAYE funds and filing. We take this very seriously and uphold the highest standards of security, privacy and funds management. We have strict processes in place to ensure the security and proper management of your payments, giving you peace of mind that your funds are in safe hands.

Furthermore, as a listed business on the NZX, PaySauce is subject to very high standards and we are regularly audited. We publish information for all of our shareholders in our annual and interim reports which are available on our website. Everyone is welcome to review these documents to see statements from our auditors.
